Letter: For Beattie and Walsh

As seen on campaign signs around Mathews, incumbent candidates for Board of Supervisors are promoting their integrity. That got me thinking about integrity. Seems to me a candidate for the board of supervisors with integrity should demonstrate a strong moral foundation, ethical conduct, and unwavering honesty in all decisions and actions. Integrity fosters public trust and accountability—qualities central to effective leadership and governance.
Before you cast your vote, ask yourself have the two incumbents truly demonstrated integrity in words and deeds? I say no! They have jeopardized the future of Mathews by exposing us to $20 million lawsuits, bullying a business owner, and driving a wedge in our smaller-by-the-year community. This has to stop now. Some accounts say as much as $400,000 has been spent on legal fees feuding with HITW. That’s our tax dollars being squandered away!
And don’t be fooled by unfounded claims that the new candidates seeking the job ...
