Letter: For Bazzani, Meyer

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

So here we have a woefully misinformed school employee, Mr. Rusty West (“The county needs new leadership,” Sept. 28 Readers Write) who claims that two supervisors, Bazzani and Meyer, have “strangled” our county, in addition to their being “thoughtless and self-serving.” Mr. West is supporting a candidate who has bankrupted himself seven times (Mr. Kevin Smith) and another candidate he can’t name correctly (i.e., “Ken” Farmer).

Regarding Marine Sonic, it was not Bazzani and Meyer who caused this company to move to York County; it was our own county at the time who imposed needless requirements such as drilling underneath Route 17 to connect to water and sewer ($150K), a new front façade ($75K) and expensive landscaping ($50K).

Meyer and Bazzani and the rest of the board did not know this was happening to the owner and they personally tried to intervene and convince the owner to stay, but it was too ...
