Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Teresa Altemus had served on the Gloucester Board of Supervisors for nearly 15 years and has throughout that period rendered outstanding service to our citizens. Her years of public service on the board of supervisors, as well as having been an educator in the Gloucester school system, have provided her with a broad and clear understanding of how both our county governmental and educational systems work and interact.

She exhibits a keen awareness of the need for frugality in the application of our county finances, in both the departments of our county government and the schools. She will always take time to listen to what citizens have to say and make herself aware of, and often get personally involved, with citizens’ issues.

For these reasons, I endorse Teresa Altemus for the Gloucester Board of Supervisors.
