Letter: Fishing tournament a great success

This past weekend, the Board of the Gloucester Boys & Girls Club held its 10th annual Flounder Fishing Tournament to benefit the Gloucester club, which provides year-round youth development programs to over 800 youth annually. Despite a bit of weather, the tournament was a great success with 68 boats participating, over $6,000 in prizes awarded, and approximately $12,000 raised for club programs.

An undertaking of this kind wouldn’t be possible without volunteers to lead and manage the many details. There are so many amazing individuals and community business leaders who step up each year to make this one of the premier fishing tournaments in the area.
