Fifty years of MVRS

Thanks for all the support for the 50th anniversary of the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad! Although we had a really hot day, it was a wonderful day of celebration! Great to see so many of our past members and a lot of our Mathews friends.

Special thanks to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department for bringing two of their fire trucks, Mathews Sheriff’s Office for its support and to the Mathews Baptist Church for use of their van and parking lot! And we can never pull off any event without our amazing MVRS Auxiliary. They worked tirelessly throughout a very warm afternoon.

We can’t name all of our members who also helped all day, but thank you MVRS members for being there. We also want to encourage you to thank and support our sponsors who allowed us to pull off the entire event without spending any of our operating funds!
