Letter: Fiddlers Green run has great potential

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Those of us who have lived in Gloucester County all our lives can remember Fiddlers Green Farm. Several years ago, it had some of the best strawberries and blueberries in the area, among other veggies and plants. On Saturday, Jan. 11, it was host to the first annual 5K and 10k run sponsored by the GHS athletic department, and the GHS cross country and track programs.

The course is one of the best cross country courses in the area. Although the turnout was low, it has the potential to be as large an event as some of the local races held in Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and Richmond. Those who participated had nothing but rave reviews of the course, even though it was a tougher course for some than expected. The view of the course as you run, the course surface, pond and livestock makes the course very attractive for your avid runners.
