Letter: E.W. Jackson for lieutenant governor

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Our founding fathers created this great nation to be a free and independent land. They broke away from the colonial power of the king so that they could decide for themselves how to raise their children. They did not need the predominant arm of big government intrusion to tell them how to live. Neither do we.

Who stands up for the values of our founding fathers today? Not many of the politicians. They think they are smarter than the founding fathers. Is there even one person that is running for public office that can be trusted to make the liberty and freedom our founders fought for the centerpiece of the political campaign? There is one that I know of and his name is E.W. Jackson.

E.W. Jackson grew up in poverty and climbed his way out of it through hard work and determination. He served three years and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. He earned a law degree from Harvard University. Further, he studied ministry at the Harva...
