If Mathews is the Pearl of the Chesapeake, then Donk’s Theater is the Diamond of Mathews County.

We have been going to Donk’s now about seven years and we have told them a number of times "This was the best show yet." Well, the show on June 8 was the "Best Show Ever." After each song, we thought how great it was and then the next song was just as good or better.

Of course, the regulars are always wonderful and professional, and at this show the previous members were as great as the cast. Donk’s has had some wonderful performers.

We realize all the hard work the Donk’s people put into each show and are thankful that we have been able to experience the results. No money could buy any better musical entertainment of this kind.

We especially enjoyed Betsy and Joanna along with the others. We enjoy gospel and most other older country songs.

So glad we now know all of them and that we are able to come down when we can. We feel th...
