Letter: Donk’s: A sensational evening of entertainment

How fortunate we are to be living in such a uniquely remarkable town as Mathews. Recently locating to this "gem" of a community after having traveled the U.S. and making our home in several diverse areas of the country, I can accurately state that there are not many towns that can boast to having such an array of musical talent—let alone be home to the Li’l Ole Opry!

What a feast for the senses to be treated to such pleasurable performances by the Shades of Country Band and many other fine supporting vocalists and musicians—Lynda Smith, Ralph Motley, Tracy Hill, Betsy Ripley, Raymond and Kasey Meeks, Steve Motley, P.J. Owens and Phil Johnson—just to name a few.
