Letter: Does Gloucester need Teresa Altemus?

Ever since we learned that Teresa Altemus was considering running again for the board of supervisors, we have been wondering why. After reading an article in another newspaper, we think we figured it out. The Gloucester County School System settled an unknown sum on her in her 2007 lawsuit against them. The State Police settled her lawsuit against them in 2008 for $15,000. The Gloucester County taxpayers paid about $233,000 for her and the other three supervisors’ attorney fees in 2009. She won a $250,000 judgment against attorney Robert Hicks in a lawsuit she filed in 2009. It appears that Mrs. Altemus needs Gloucester.
