I would like to take this opportunity to show and tell what a small group of Democrats in Mathews County can quickly assemble.

First, an old 10-foot Crawford banner was nicely redone by Dan at Coastwise Design with two elves and this message: “Yes…There are elves working hard for Virginia.” This would have been our leadoff with myself on one side of the banner and Pete DeLisle and his dog Milton on the other side.

Chris Bridges came up with a Christmas message to be read at the Food Lion judging location. It read, “The Mathews Democratic Committee is a group of Mathews citizens who encourage everyone to participate in democracy. Volunteer, vote, find out the facts and the issues you care about. Listen to others, talk to your neighbors and celebrate the freedom we have to celebrate this season.” We added condolences to our leader Bud Ward and his family at this sad time.
