Letter: Del. Hodges is a great neighbor

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
I wanted to relate to you something that happened last week at the 7-Eleven store in Glenns on the northernmost outskirts of Gloucester.
I am the pastor of a church in Tappahannock called Radiant Life Assembly of God. I live in Glenns and last Wednesday started with an early morning call from my wife saying she was at the 7-Eleven in Glenns with a flat tire.
I put on my big boy pants and went to rescue my damsel in distress. As I was getting ready to change the tire I heard someone call to me and say “Hey, do you need a hand with that tire?”
I turned to see Delegate Keith Hodges coming towards me with a mask on.
I knew him but he didn’t know me from Adam. I thanked him but told him I had it under control. I told him I recognized him and he insisted that he would be happy to help. He gave me a quick elbow bump and I thanked him for offering and for his service.
