My Saturday just wasn’t the same without watching the kids play basketball this past weekend. It has been a fun and quick Mathews Youth Basketball season. This is our girls’ last year at Lee-Jackson and sadly we will be leaving behind a wonderful group of teachers and friends. One of these is coach Pat Moughon, our physical education teacher. She was a routine sight at the kids’ games at both schools. She must have a pot of coffee and a cot in her office for all the times I have seen her at the games. She is truly dedicated to helping our children to keep active and having fun while doing it. She deserves a great deal of thanks for all she has done to make the basketball season possible. I know much of her work goes on behind the scenes.
