Letter: Dear Mr. Boo

Editor, Gazette-Journal: In elementary school, it was Charlie and George … the custodians at Flocktown in N.J. When I was done with my school work, my reward was to spend time with them in their workshop and help them clean. I could even bring a friend. My favorite things to do were to sweep the halls for them and watch them at the workbench. Sometimes I would use my recess or free time to help them. They taught me that good manners and hard work pay off and go a long way in relationships. At my first teaching job at Page Middle School in Gloucester, it was Bill. He would come to my room last, tell me his stories and listen to mine, and make me go home hours after the other teachers had left.
