Letter: Daffodil Festival run was a success

The sky cleared to a bright blue and the wind softened to a gentle breeze on Sunday, April 3 and the Adult Literacy on the Middle Peninsula, Inc., 5K/3K Race at the Daffodil Festival was a successful event with the participation of 189 runners!
ALMP wants to thank the Gloucester Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism for its valued assistance which allowed us to hold the event, and Water Pro with providing water to the runners.  Thanks to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office for providing us with Deputy Bailey who provided guidance and care so participants and spectators were able to successfully maneuver from the parking lot to the race site. In addition we thank Hodges & Bryant for allowing us to locate the “necessary facilities” within a safe distance to the location. To the residents along Ware House Road: Thank you for your patience.
