Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I cannot but comment on the advertisement in the Gazette-Journal paid for by the Democratic Party these past few weeks that states, “Choose Freedom! Vote Democrat!” Freedom? Freedom to kill unborn children? Freedom to burn cities and loot stores? Freedom to destroy monuments you don’t like? Freedom to deny parents the right to decide what is right for their children? Freedom for the LGBTQ people to proselytize children? Freedom to continue to borrow money in the trillions of dollars that will destroy the value of the dollar, bankrupt the country and impoverish all of us? Freedom to allow any and all to enter our country and provide free food, housing and maybe to vote?

If this is the Democrats’ idea of “freedom” I want none of it, and I hope the majority of American citizens agree with me. Vote Republican! Save our country from the ravages of Socialism, a system that does not work, and the “woke,” a group of wild-eyed radicals that remind me of the Puritans and Cromwell who nearly wrecked England in the 1600s.

The election coming up in a few days is, in my opinion, the most important election since the 1932 election of Franklin D. Roosevelt when this country took a hard turn to the left that basically created the bloated bureaucracy we have now. If you want more bureaucrats looking into every aspect of your life, then vote Democrat. For me, I’ll vote conservative and Republican.
