Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I want to wish the whole community a merry Christmas. We have many worldwide problems, we have many problems in our country and, yes, we even have some problems in our beautiful county. But I was thinking about all of the people I have come in contact with every day and how lucky 

I am.

I have a job that allows me to be with people. I get to work with and volunteer working with kids in the community. They enrich me and bring joy to me every day. Our community’s kids are so special. We have the best volunteers there can possibly be. Our volunteer youth coaches and officials are just plain awesome. They put their time in trying to make life a little cooler for the kids they coach and officiate for.

The parents I deal with are great. Yes, we occasionally have the parent that doesn’t understand, but by and large we have parents that are supportive, appreciative and fun to be around. We have businesses that sponsor us and help with donations to ...
