Editor, Gazette-Journal: I received an announcement from Representative Wittman’s office today (April 22) touting his American Conservative Union (ACU) rating of 92 percent, which reflects his current commitment to conservative principles. In the same announcement he states, in bold letters, “that the looming national debt threatens our fiscal security: we must get spending under control!” I would like to know what his ACU rating was in 2017 and 2018 when he voted for the “Protecting Family and Small Business Tax Cuts, 2017 Tax Cut and the 2018 Appropriations Bills” which increased our national debt by nearly 3 trillion ($3,000,000,000,000.00) dollars!
