Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I wish there was something I could mention that would indicate that President Obama has grasped what it means to be president of the United States, but I can’t. He seems confused. He has turned his back on Israel and states that they should revert to borders long past.

Has anyone told him that Israel is surrounded by governments that teach hatred for all that is Jewish? That most of Islam’s religious leaders call for the death of all Jews and they respect no other faith?

In Israel, they live in a state of constant war, never knowing when another rocket will hit, or terrorist bomber will kill a few more citizens. Neighbors, family, everyone is a target of the hate thrown at the people of Israel. Most of its citizens came back to Israel to escape the Nazis. This land was planned for them and laid out in the Old Testament, making it the logical place for them to seek peace and make a home.
