Letter: Community support for festival is amazing

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Congratulations to the winners of the Literacy Volunteers of Gloucester raffle held at the Gloucester Daffodil Festival on Sunday. The hand-crocheted daffodil afghan, done by Aileen McHenry, was won by Georgia Lee Marshall of Glass. The stained-glass daffodil made by Jerry Varner was won by Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Pouchot of Hayes.

The talented ladies from Prudential Towne Realty chose to be daffodils themselves for this parade and won the award for "Best Use of Daffodils." Well done!

A big thank you to all the LVG volunteers who worked tirelessly at the GHS shuttle bus site and the LVG booth both Saturday and Sunday.

The community support for this annual festival is amazing and is evidence to the Daffodil Festival Council that their hard work each year is appreciated. Congratulations to everyone for another fun festival weekend.
