Editor, Gazette-Journal:
Although some cooks may think that aprons are a kitchen accoutrement of the past, Adult Literacy on the Middle Peninsula, Inc., is grateful to the many Courthouse Restaurant customers who participated in the apron silent auction as part of our Dr. Seuss birthday celebration. Your bids yielded 9 1/3 dozens of dollars ($112) to assist Adult Literacy in its mission to provide the adults in the community with basic educational skills.
Of course, the apron silent auction would not have been a success without the enthusiastic support of the proprietors of the Courthouse Restaurant, Mrs. and Mrs. Hibbs. Thank you for your support of community non-profit organizations.
