Letter: Coming after your safety net

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Now that the Republican/Trumplican Party has put the so-called Tax Reform into law, they are looking at Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid for so-called “reform.” First of all, it was a tax break with over 80 percent of the cuts going to the top 1 percent of the population. For the rest of us, it was a tax scam.

Now it looks like the deficit will hit $1 trillion in 2019. Over a trillion in 2020. With the loss of tax revenue, because of the tax scam, and the well-over-a-trillion-dollar spending bill, Congress will be coming after the safety net for many Americans.

I have already seen some Republican/Trumplican members of Congress on TV, talking about entitlement reform. They mentioned Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
