Letter: Come run with us in ‘17

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Kingston Plantation was a perfect place to hold the Bobby Spitler Memorial 5K/3K Race on Oct. 29. The participants were of varied ages (from 12 to 74) and a variety of medals awarded to the top runners.

A race cannot be held without those who are the active participants or those who provide the funding for the event. Adult Literacy and MPNN CSB thank PHA (Peninsula Heating and Air) for their remarkable support of a late employee and the race that honors his memory. In addition, we thank Riverside Walter Reed Hospital for joining in this race for a second year as did B&N Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping Services and Domino’s Pizza. New financial supporters this year were Bethpage Camp-Resort and Grey’s Point Camp, Trudy’s Portable Toilets and the Courthouse Restaurant.

Come run with us in 2017!
