Letter: Coleman for Virginia Senate

An Open Letter to Virginia’s 6th District:

 

Hey, folks, at least those in the 6th Virginia District, which includes Mathews—most of you know that there is a special election on Tuesday for the Virginia Senate seat vacated by Ralph Northam, as he moves up to be the lieutenant governor.

 

What you may not fully appreciate is that this election is crucial to Virginia’s future. Should the Democratic candidate (Lynwood Lewis) be elected on Jan. 7, the Virginia Senate will be evenly split 50/50. Senate tie votes are broken by the lieutenant governor, a Democrat.

 

Mr. Lewis’s election to office would mean an unfettered hand in Virginia for the Democratic Party, which supports Obamacare, the war on coal, the refusal to drill our own oil, gun control, a dramatic expansion of Medicaid and all of the over-regulation and taxes favored by the liberal establishment.
