Editor, Gazette-Journal: It is my pleasure to endorse Elizabeth A. Brown for the office of Clerk of Court for Mathews County. I’ve had the opportunity to work with Ms. Brown for over three years and she has worked effectively as my Chief Deputy Clerk. She was appointed as the Interim Clerk of Court when I retired on Aug. 1, 2023 and has the experience, training and knowledge to continue her position as Clerk of Court. I first met Ms. Brown at Bank of America and she has always shown a remarkable level of commitment to her job and is personable and considerate to her customers. Her strong work ethic goes above and beyond what’s required of her to prepare for the day ahead, prioritizing tasks, and completing them efficiently. In addition, she knows the importance of maintaining confidentiality to sensitive issues pertaining to the public and the office.
