Letter: Bringing the glow of Christmas to Main Street

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

The Garden Club of Gloucester, Walter Reed Garden Club, and the local merchants who supported Main Street Christmas decorations hope that they were enjoyed by all. We would like to thank Sheriff’s Deputy Tom Ingram and the inmates who worked so hard and enthusiastically for the success of this project. Their efforts in putting up and taking down the garlands were invaluable. They were pleasant, willing to do what was needed, and they also shared our pride in bringing the glow of Christmas to Gloucester. We would like them to know that their services were genuinely appreciated by all.

In addition, we would like to thank Olivia’s and the Courthouse Restaurant for providing lunches for our workers and Angelwings for offering an appreciation discount.

Mary Ann Griffith

Corresponding Secretary
