I would like to thank all involved in the St. Baldrick’s head shaving event on March 17th. Thanks to all those who donated their hard-earned money to fight childhood cancer and to Tammy Cantrell and Christian Huskey who “braved the shave.” Special thanks to Frank Harlow who I asked two hours before the event if he could fill in for our usual barber (my sister Blanche Brooks) and who did not hesitate to grab his clippers and save the day.

I thank all who attended the event because this is a way of raising awareness of the problem. We don’t know why God allows little children to suffer from this horrible monster, but we know He calls us to be conduits of His Love. Children who lose this battle are very special to Him as well as the ministers of His Love. Together with the three of us raised $9,320. It’s still not too late to give. They raise money all year.
