Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Enough gratitude cannot be extended to the Gloucester Library (Main Street branch) and to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office for the first annual bicycle rodeo. This event was not only informative and educational, but also fun for the entire family. The staff of the library and the officers contributed not only to the sharing of information on bicycle skills and safety but also participated in the fun and enjoyment with the children. This event would not have been such a success without the generosity of the Freewheel Bicycle Shop of Newport News. The volunteer from the bicycle shop graciously donated his time and knowledge to service the public’s bicycles and generously brought a multitude of bicycles for the public to ride and enjoy. In anticipation of a similar event in the future, we predict next year’s bicycle rodeo will be a huge success.
