Editor, Gazette-Journal: The founding fathers fought to create a country in which power is vested in the people. Elections were the vehicle by which the will of the people would be expressed and would become governance. Our representative(s) in Congress must defend the integrity of elections. I have lost faith that Rob Wittman is willing to guarantee and to champion our rights. Of the candidates running to represent our district in the House of Representatives, Salaam Bhatti will defend the rights of all Virginians. He will fight for automatic voter registration, opportunities for early voting, and protection of all polling places.
