Editor, Gazette-Journal: I am writing to give my support for Conrad Bareford for Commonwealth’s Attorney. I have been practicing law in Virginia for 56 years. Mr. Bareford’s father used to practice law across from my Main Street office, where I have been practicing law for the last 13 years. I met Mr. Bareford in 2013 when he came to Richmond one Sunday to get my input on one of his cases. Today, I am pleased to have worked with him for many years as co-counsel. We have appeared together on cases in court and in judicial settlement conferences. We have worked on complex issues. In these matters, Mr. Bareford demonstrated he is a true gentleman, an excellent lawyer, and an example of civility in the practice of law. He has shown a rare combination of excellence and humility.
