Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Please support our local, very necessary Gazette-Journal and all our local businesses, to include our friendly, youth-staffed coffee shop and our local Island Stop (good meats and great employees) and, of course, all our local restaurants, with their home deliveries, outside and take-out dining.

It’s time to support Mathews County for us seniors of a certain age (oldies). These are our lifelines. Local is a must.

Recently, at least two letters to the editor described this paper as their lifeline. I’m not sure the daily paper knows we exist.

Please wear your mask as you shop locally and when you vote on Nov. 3.
