Letter: Attack on democracy

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am as concerned about inflation and our immigration problem as anyone, but I am more concerned about the attack on our democratic republic by the supporters of Donald Trump. This attack is ongoing and is unprecedented in the history of our nation.

It cannot be allowed to continue.

This occurred even after the attack on the Capitol! Then, to make matters worse, he voted against the creation of a bi-partisan commission to investigate that attack. His reasons for those two votes were thin and unsatisfactory. He proved, by those two actions alone, that he is more loyal to Donald Trump than to our republic.

With that attitude he is unfit to continue to serve in the Congress of the United States. He should be ashamed of himself.
