The recent Supreme Court decision on gay marriage was met with glee with front-page coverage in several local papers. One proclaimed: Virginia Takes the Plunge. As I recall, two other cities once “Took the Plunge.” Sodom and Gomorrah. That one didn’t turn out too well.
