Letter: Another solution in search of a problem

The Pledge of Allegiance contains the words “Liberty and Justice for All.” A letter to the editor urging folks to support asking the board of supervisor to adopt one-day only voting, hand-count ballots and eliminate the drop box would insure only liberty and justice for the few, not all. It would also insure aggravation for all.

First, it is my firm belief that folks advocating for the changes believe the lies they have been told about election integrity by radical far right media, as well as state, local and national politicians. A lie is a lie. The term “misinformation” falls short.

Nothing could be more un-American than making it harder to vote. Many people have taken advantage of the convenience of early voting. The person or political party that tells them they can no longer have convenient voting will receive a well-deserved swift backlash.
