Letter: Another life claimed by COVID-19

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Perfidious COVID-19 claimed another life—a very valuable one. Dr. James T. Goodrich was a prominent New York neurosurgeon who was born in Oregon on April 16, 1946 but who spent most of his life in New York.

His awards are too numerous to mention. He is best known for his separations of craniopagus conjoined twins in 2004 and 2016. And he was one of the best doctors in the world.

Dr. Goodrich passed away on March 30 from complications of the coronavirus or COVID-19. He is survived by his wife, Judy Loudin, whom he married in 1970, and his three sisters. He had no children. He, too, will be sorely missed.
