Letter: Angel Tree angels

The Gloucester Department of Social Services would like to thank the members of our community for their overwhelming generosity this holiday season, as even in the midst of an uncertain and challenging year, the Angel Tree Project was a huge success once again.

Thanks to the considerable donations provided, gifts were distributed not only to the foster children in Gloucester County, but also for the surrounding counties of Middlesex, Mathews, King and Queen, and King William. The commitment to helping foster youth in our community, as well as the surrounding communities, is greatly appreciated.

A special thanks to Bill Hudgins who began this tradition 32 years ago, which now includes several local businesses: Brad Hudgins and Luella Manning of Hudgins GMC, Sarah Cook of Walter Reed Hospital, Lynne Freeman of Mainsail Wealth Advisors, and Ben Lennon of Lennon Dental Care.
