On what began as a rainy and dreary Monday, a most heartwarming and much appreciated event happened in our store to brighten the day. Three wonderful ladies from Gloucester County Public Schools Transportation Department—Jennifer Whitley, Patrice Jenkins and Jennifer Jernigan—showed up unexpectedly to provide lunch for our more than 100 associates who were working that day.

They came with trays full of sandwiches, chicken nuggets, potato and pasta salads, chips, cookies and drinks. They entered our breakroom and began setting up all of the lunch items on tables for our associates to enjoy.

Needless to say, everyone was quite overjoyed and thankful, and the main question everyone was asking was “Why would you do this for us?” Jennifer Jernigan explained that their facility had been looking around at all of the businesses that have been open and willing to help in the community during the past two months and they decided that the associates at Lowe’s de...
