Phillips Energy, Inc., would like to thank all of the volunteers from the Gloucester Fire and Rescue Department, the Gloucester Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, Gloucester County’s Emergency Services Department, and the Newport News Hazmat Team for their assistance on July 24, 2018. Thanks to their immediate response, professionalism and level of training we were able to remediate an emergency involving one of our propane trucks in a very timely manner.

We would like to also recognize the actions of our truck driver and employees that were on the scene and were able to utilize the training provided in our industry to respond to the situation.

Finally, we appreciate the citizens of the community who communicated to us about the incident and allowed us to engage emergency personnel quickly. We all are so fortunate to live in such an exceptional community.
