Getting ready for Christmas? Oh my!

Recently, a church member called to schedule a Christmas program at Riverside Convalescent Center. This call started me thinking about everything our communities do to help our residents. Churches, civic groups and individuals are always there to give us a hand. This summer we have had flowers delivered from the farmers’ market, plants and crafted cards brought in from local Bible schools, and homemade goodies provided for some of our social functions. The ROTC from Gloucester High School visited and we had a superb bingo event.

Bethel Men visit with a fun and inspiring program Wednesday nights. Mobile Ministries for Christ provides a service on Friday morning and the Riverside Ladies Auxiliary is a phone call away. The birthday gifts for residents and their families are just a sample of the many things this group does for our folks.
