On behalf of Faith in Wheels, our community mission for Alyssa Briggs, I would like to thank the many who played a part in another incredibly successful fundraiser this past week. On Thursday, Feb. 25, we delivered boxed lunches prepared by Nelda Gibbs to over 600 people in Mathews, Gloucester and Middlesex counties.

Through this fundraising event, we prepared over 600 lunches and collected $6,600 with a profit of $5,500, bringing our total funds raised for Faith in Wheels to $25,088.28.

I extend my deepest thanks to Nelda Gibbs, Diane Bing, Lou Ann Diggs and the cafeteria staff for their tireless efforts in preparing an overwhelming quantity of food; to the friends who generously baked and donated 30 pound cakes; the nearly 30 volunteers who helped to prepare food; the 14 volunteer delivery drivers; those who helped promote and collect orders; the hundreds who bought lunches, and all who offered their time and support in countless ways.
