Editor, Gazette-Journal: This letter is a “Thank You” to all the local organizations that participated in The General Anthony Wayne DAV Chapter 58 annual 9/11 Memorial Celebration. We would especially like to thank the Gloucester Fire and Rescue members who attended and brought a piece of equipment for demonstration. We would also like to thank all the local veteran service organizations for participating, especially the Marine Corps League, for providing a member who sang the National Anthem; the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Air Force Association, and the Coast Guard. There were also many Gloucester citizens who attended, and we were glad to have them with us. We were all there so as a community we do not forget those innocent citizens who lost their lives that fateful day as well as all the first responders who ran into that holocaust to save as many lives as possible and in many cases gave the full measure of their service.
