Letter: Altemus for Gloucester Board of Supervisors

I recently had the pleasure of attending a meet and greet event for the Gloucester County supervisor at-large candidate Ms. Teresa Altemus. I was impressed by the wide representation of the Gloucester County demographic population at this event.

During the event, Ms. Altemus provided remarks without prepared notes, doing it completely from the heart. The remarks were very inspiring and demonstrated her unwavering support for:

—Public safety: To include the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and Gloucester/Abingdon Volunteer Fire Departments.

—Education: Totally committed to parents’ rights with being involved in their children’s education to include discussion about what the instructional curriculum taught in the classroom should be.

—Budget: Wholeheartedly believes government must maintain the same standards of fiscal responsibility as the citizens with their home budgets.

—Citizen rights: Fully supportive of our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights...
