Editor, Gazette-Journal:

On Sunday, Dec. 18, Newington Baptist Church had the Christmas cantata titled “On this Very Night” directed by our wonderful choir teacher Heather King. We had a full house that glorious day.

Victoria King and her sisters started us off with their beautiful singing. Before we began to sing, I opened with a special prayer, thanking our Heavenly Father for gathering everyone who attended, and asked Him to guide us on stage to do well.

My amazing brother Ray along with my wonderful parents and Linda Miller came to support me.

I’ve got to say, things went well. We had the audience join in with the Festival of Carols. Andrew King and the other kids that were on stage with us that day did a super job singing “Away in a Manger” as the rest of us sang “Christmas Time.”

I want to say thank you to those who came out to the special event and enjoyed themselves. I totally look forward to singing again in the Christmas cantata next December. God bless.
