Letter: A troubling incident

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I have a lot to be happy about this Easter, because on Sunday, April 10, at 9 a.m. on T.C. Walker Road, my family and I got shot at by an unknown person.

Several shots were fired by this individual. What led up to the reaction from that person will shock you. It started with this person trying to pass me in a “no passing” zone with a 45 mph speed limit. A lot of people ignore most of the rules of the road here in Gloucester.

I eased over to keep this person from passing because another car was coming, but to my disbelief the person pulled a gun and started firing at us. The car was a grey Toyota with an out-of-state plate. I called 911 but no one responded and to top it off, after meeting officers in the library parking lot, it seemed they didn’t believe me. I guess no investigation was initiated.

Every citizen should feel safe and secure. My advice to anyone is to give every driver the whole road.
