Letter: A thief in the night

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

To the person or persons who stole the outboard motor in Gloucester: Shame on you! You are probably laughing and bragging about how easy it was to take. Of course it was. You came by during the day and wanted it for yourself, but instead of buying it, you came in the dark of night and took it.

Evil loves darkness because light shows how ugly we really are. If you took it for yourself, I pray that every time you crank it, you remember that God loves you and you stole it from me.

If you took it to sell to someone else, I pray that every time you spend money, you remember that God loves you and that money is not really yours. I don’t hate you, but it did make me mad. However, I already know that God loves me and forgives me for my sins. I pray that you will come to know that, too!

Should you choose to allow light into your life and return the motor, I will stop the investigation and ask no questions.
