Letter: A tale of three customers

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Today I took my masked-and-gloved 88-year-old mother to her bank’s outdoor ATM so she could deposit her COVID-19 stimulus check. While one masked man respectfully waited his turn from about 10 feet away, another man—unmasked—barged up next to her to drop something into the adjacent night deposit box.

When I asked him to get six feet away from my mother, he made a rude, sarcastic reply. It was clear he did not believe in the importance of social distancing. I would ask everyone to please respect the social distancing and virus prevention recommendations even if you don’t believe in them for yourself.

Respect the lives of other people and help prevent the spread of the virus!
