Letter: A successful candidate forum

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

On Oct. 24, the two candidates for Virginia’s House of Delegates, 98th District, participated in a public Candidates Forum at the Moose Family Center in Gloucester. The incumbent candidate, Republican Keith Hodges, and his Democratic challenger, Dr. Sheila Crowley, answered questions submitted to them by citizens who attended.  

A number of community-spirited individuals and groups cooperated to plan and coordinate this event. Thank you, Gazette-Journal, for the opportunity to recognize them and express appreciation for their efforts to inform voters prior to Election Day.

As a member of the Planning Committee for the forum, I served with Sandy Pait of the Severn Republican Women, and Dianne Carter deMayo of the Gloucester Democratic Committee.  As representatives of the two sponsoring organizations, they join me in saying thank you to:
