Letter: A sinful act

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Last Saturday, Dec. 8, I purchased two saddle wreaths for my parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle and brother’s graves. They are buried in Friendship Cemetery, across from St. Paul United Methodist Church in Mathews.

My daughter offered to take them there for me. She arrived there at approximately 2 p.m. After placing them on the headstones, she noticed an empty vase. She decided to go to Dollar General and purchase flowers for the vase. When she returned, one of the wreaths had been stolen.

This all took place in less than one hour. Not only did someone hurt me and my family by stealing the wreaths, they also broke the eighth commandment: "Thou shall not steal." Whoever did this will surely have to answer to God above.
