Letter: A safety hazard

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

As a homeowner along Route 645 in Diggs, I am very concerned about the height of the grass along the roadway. The grass in some areas, especially along blind curves, is 7 to 8 feet tall. 

This poses a safety hazard for vehicles meeting others along the roadway and makes it dangerous to walk or ride bicycles to the public beach at the end of the road. 

VDOT is charged with ensuring a safe roadway for all and by not cutting the grass alongside this roadway at all this season is not only doing a disservice to motorists but is causing a dangerous threat to all.
