Letter: A prayer for 2014

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

No New Year resolutions for me, but I do pray, and this is one of my prayers for 2014. May more Americans open their hearts and their homes to God, inviting Him to take the lead, and may love, as given and taught by Jesus Christ, replace the words “tolerance and political correctness,” because they will never have the power to heal; only He can. Now, if all of us who call Him friend and savior will do our best to live each day as an example of His love, then many more will open their hearts and homes to Him, and receive the healing that can only come through Him. That would be the best gift for the New Year.
